Has anyone built a tesla turbine?

A tesla turbine is an often overlooked tesla invention capable of making power in the 70%+ efficency area. they are light, simple, have one moving part, and could revolutionise our energy picure overnight. Remember tesla invented the electric stator motor. and I'll bet you have at least 8 of them in your home. Now will somebody PLEASE build one of these turbines? I know that they don't make pretty sparks and aren't a lot of fun at big raves. but If we can come up with say a 'chevy 350 replacement kit' maybe use a microwave superheater unit on some plain H20 water to make steam, then there's no waste byproduct at all. The design Itself is so blisteringly simple that I'll explain it here in a few sentences. Take several thin discs (size of cd's or vinyl albums) mount them all close together on a common rotating shaft (pencil through the middle of the albums) enclose this rotating unit so that the liquid (water, steam, gas, air whatever) enters at a tangent to the discs, (like makes them spin, dude) and leaves out the side where the shaft is. It can be used as a motor or a pump depending on which direction you run the liquid. the secret is that it runs off of ADHESION not FRICTION. The best example of this difference is to dip your finger in a glass of water and note how tenaciously that bit of water clings to your finger. this is adhesion. now try to blow the water off the tip of your finger. you have to try pretty hard and thats coz the air your blowing provides only friction. adhesion is simply a stronger force at the atomic level. Smart crafty Tesla, Why'd the CIA whack you? Well we all know the reason for that. Thanks BIG OIL. Now goddammit, I'm too busy being a total fuckup to build one of these. And I don't have access to a machine shop. But It's so simple! Don't take my word for it. Look up the plans. 1000 horsepower from a 100 lb. engine! Get on it!

p.s. there are also Tesla plans for superlarge earth-capacator generators, which you bury in the ground and they produce more energy out than you put in. No Shuddap! Dont start with your newtoninan conservation of energy knee-jerk 19th century b/s. It works off of the planets energy field (hello, lightning indicates a large standing planetary energy field does it not?) You run a coil of wire down a shaft out along a plate in a spiral, back in up the shaft again, rotate the whole jig at the right speed and pump the energy at the correct alternating current rate (8hz?) inside the giant capacator, and Voila, more power out than in.

i have been watching your post since october. why has nobody replyed? i have a 15kwatt substation from the power company in my possesion. i have access to various fabrication, tooling, molding, etc shops. we flame cut and blanchard grind steel plates/parts up to ten inches thick. people on staff have built thier own airplanes, etc. not the biggest group of dummies on the block. but i would like to take you up on your offer, so to speak.

I am a big fan of Tesla and I just stumbled upon this tribe. I noticed this topic and I recalled that I saw a DIY Tesla Turbine being mention at the Makezine blog just a few days ago. It's not a design for really serious stuff, but you might like it anyway. :)

Tesla turbine from a CD disc pack:

Tesla really was one of the brightest geniuses ever, IMHO.

Shite, now you post this stuff.

I've already ditched ver 1,000 old CDs, but thank goodness I have plenty of old hard disk platters.

If the ideasare any good, you'll knw about it when I own your power comapanies {:-).

Oh dear, some people are really gullible.

The cd platter thing is a total fraud. Doesn't even show it working. Sure it turns when he uses his finger but what is the point. Read the comments, the guy is a total nut case. No wonder Tesla has a bad rep when fruitcakes abuse his name.

I forgot that he doesn't show it working in that link and that I also checked YouTube for more material. I should have added the YouTube links that I've seen as well:

Tesla CD Turbine First Test Run:

Revin' Up the Tesla CD Turbine II With Magnetic Disc Pack:

          www.youtube.com/watch

Running the Tesla CD Turbine With PumpkinCutter Attachment:
          www.youtube.com/watch

I agree that the guy is somewhat weird... the skillsaw attachment is just :X :X

Well, unless he has spent some good time faking these video's, I'd say it seems to be functional. So unless I'm overlooking some mistakes in these video's, I would not directly consider myself really gullible.
